The SQUARE ENIX staff will be taking a well-deserved break to observe Thanksgiving. This particular MEMBERS blogger will finally start playing the much-anticipated Nintendo DS game CHRONO TRIGGER over the holidays.

Socializing with family and friends, enjoying homemade meals and traveling in time — this is truly a thankful time of year!

The November edition of KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Chain of Memories eCard is now available for you to share with your friends and family. Send your Thanksgiving greetings with this cool new eCard and be thanked for it!

You can get your hands on KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Chain of Memories next week (December 2), but in the meantime, you can get a copy of CHRONO TRIGGER, which came out today. Goodness overload!

CHRONO TRIGGER Downloads Bonanza!

Two new CHRONO TRIGGER digital exclusives are now online for your downloading pleasure.

First there's the CHRONO TRIGGER Clock, a desktop widget that tells you the time in style. A desktop replica of the clock featured on the official web site, you can place the clock anywhere on your desktop and it even does something special every hour.

Crono and crew are now available to download as messenger icons. Use them to show your friends that you're a true fan. When asked what the icon is and you're unsure of the answer, just tell them that it's from an awesome game.

Download them. They're totally cool!

FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: The Crystal Bearers | Cancellation Rumor

Here's an official statement from our Senior Public Relations Manager Sonia Im regarding the rumors surrounding FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: The Crystal Bearers:

"While much of EGM's 'Rumor Mill' contents end up being accurate, in this case the report is incorrect.

We have never announced that FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: The Crystal Bearers has been canceled and have every intention of releasing it. There may be some concerns as a firm ship date has not been set but rest assured there will be an announcement once we finalize the date internally.

Although there are many Square Enix related rumors out there that we do not comment on, due to the feedback from the readers, we felt it was necessary to provide a statement to alleviate the worries of those who are looking forward to the game. The fan base that the FINAL FANTASY series has is appreciated by everyone at Square Enix (not only the developers) so we hope this statement will prevent any further spreading of the rumor.

We apologize for any unnecessary distress this rumor may have caused and hope the fans of the series can again look forward to the upcoming release of FINAL FANTASY CRYSTAL CHRONICLES: The Crystal Bearers."

STAR OCEAN: Second Evolution Site Online

The brand-new STAR OCEAN: Second Evolution site is online! Featuring two main characters with their own storylines, it's a unique game that set itself apart from other RPGs.

The game is due for release on the PlayStation Portable on January 6, 2009, so those who haven't picked up STAR OCEAN: First Departure might want to get started now to catch up. Who knows, you might run into a wormhole and end up back in time while traveling the galaxy, just in time for the sequel!

Final DRAGON QUEST IV comic strip + DRAGON QUEST V release date

This is it, folks -- the last DRAGON QUEST IV comic strip is now online for you to read with tears in your eyes. It may feel like yesterday, but 18 weeks have gone by since the first comic went online. We hope that these comics infused more character into the memorable cast.

While the DRAGON QUEST IV comics legacy has finally come to an end, there's still much to celebrate for DRAGON QUEST fans. A press release went live on our corporate site today which revealed the release date for DRAGON QUEST V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride as February 17, 2009. This is the first time that DRAGON QUEST V will be available on the western hemisphere, so practice those spells and keep your weapons sharp for the next quest!

THE LAST REMNANT Web Site Updated

Here's something to get your engines warmed up, THE LAST REMNANT fans. The official web site has been updated to include additional content in the "Experience It" section, which is full of battle, event and miscellaneous scenes from the game. Try not to lose control while watching these videos.

Only 10 more days remain until the game's release on Xbox 360, so take this time to prep yourself for an epic adventure. Don't forget to preorder to get an exclusive code to unlock additional battle formations and a poster of either Rush or the Conqueror!

SQUARE ENIX Official Redesign

The SQUARE ENIX official site got a makeover early this morning. How about a quick little tour of the top page?

Upon landing, our current lineup is displayed front-and-center in oversized, rotating banners. The visible control mechanism now toggles in and out of view by mousing over the "FEATURED" tab, and the scrolling direction is controlled by moving the mouse to the right or the left, outside of the FEATURED area.

Just below there, we still have the What's New section, but now with added functionality. Click on any of the little icons to filter the What's New topics by category. There's even an RSS feed. Of course, any member knows that the MEMBERS Blog is your best source Square Enix news and information.

Off to the right are links to the e-Store for games and music, MEMBERS (cheers and applause), the SQUARE ENIX ONLINE SHOP for other types of merchandise, and SQUARE ENIX MUSIC.

Shortcuts to our top three franchises follow below, with the corporate footer rounding out the bottom.

Just like the MEMBERS site, we hope to continue adding features and functionality as time goes on. Take the site for a spin and let us know what you think.

If you're the type who's been sending the KINGDOM HEARTS eCard to yourself over and over to get your fix, take a break from that to visit the newly launched KINGDOM HEARTS Re:Chain of Memories official site! There aren't any eCards there, but you can grab a few snazzy wallpapers.

There's the usual Story and Characters sections, too, but if you are the type who's been sending the eCard to yourself over and over, you're probably pretty familiar with all of that already.
