FINAL FANTASY XIII EXPERIENCE

The first session of our daytime event has concluded! It was great to see everyone who came out.

Our Master of Ceremonies Chris Hardwick really engaged the room, probably because he was so into it himself. We played an exclusive 3D version of the FFXIII trailer, and he was disappointed enough about being unable to watch it backstage that he requested an encore screening while he was out front (much to the audience's approval).

A special video message from Leona Lewis preceded the cut of the international trailer set to her single "My Hands."

Following that, guests were treated to a short bit of battle footage wherein Snow seemed to lead his team from one bad experience to another. Lightning complained no small bit about it, right up through and past the Game Over screen. Turns out this comic scene was made possible through a live performance by Lightning's and Snow's voice actors, Ali Hillis and Troy Baker. They came onstage afterward to chat about their recording experience on FFXIII.

The two were later replaced by Director Motomu Toriyama and Battle Director Yuuji Abe who in turn spoke about their experience's with the title. When they wrapped up their presentations, rows of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 kiosks were opened up to the attendees for hands-on exposure to FINAL FANTASY XIII. Messrs. Toriyama, Abe, Baker and Miss Hillis then made themselves available on the floor to a handful of lucky attendees for a signing session.

To close out the event we raffled off prizes, including a FINAL FANTASY XIII Xbox 360 bundle pack and Play Arts -KAI- figures.

The second session of the FINAL FANTASY XIII EXPERIENCE is going on right now, and it shouldn't be too much longer before the evening party begins. See you again soon!

FINAL FANTASY XIII Launch Event - Special Access

Hey, guess what I just overheard.

Apparently there's a good chance that the front desk will start letting in folks without invitations pretty soon, maybe the first 50 or so. If you're in San Francisco and want to stop by, come to the Regency Center at 1290 Sutter Street. It's the big, white, brick building with Lightning and company in the windows. We're all in the Grand Ballroom which has got a red carpet rolling out to Van Ness Avenue.

If anyone asks, tell 'em you heard it on MEMBERS.

FINAL FANTASY XIII Launch Event - Prologue

Salutations from San Francisco!

Tomorrow is the long awaited release of FINAL FANTASY XIII, and to commemorate the big event, we're having a party. It's an invitation only shindig, but MEMBERS has a man on the inside, and yours truly will be shooting photographs throughout the day to get you as close as possible.

We've actually been here all weekend, and setup at the venue got us to a presentable state just yesterday. Here's our first batch of intel, and though it's only the lead up to the actual excitement, you won't find this anywhere else.
