The outcome of the Group depends on whether or not the Group has any sub-leaders. All possible situations are described below.
1) If the circle has a sub-leader
- The sub-leader will automatically receive all privileges of the leader.
- If the circle has multiple sub-leaders, the sub-leader who has been a member of the circle the longest will get priority to become leader.
- If the circle has a sub-leader, but that sub-leader already runs 3 other circles, leader privileges will be passed on to the next sub-leader.
- All authorization requests for the circle will be preserved. The new leader will have the ability to authorize these requests.
- If no sub-leader is eligible to receive leader rights, the process will be as if there were no sub-leaders, the same as detailed below in situation 2.
- If leader privileges are handed off to a sub-leader, in the event that the original leader should rejoin the circle they will still need to be authorized to join by the new leader, even if they attempt to rejoin during the valid time period.
2) If the circle has no sub-leader
- The circle will remain open during the leader's valid rejoin time period (two weeks).
- However, all join authorization requests will be lost, even during this time period.
- The valid rejoin time period will be displayed in a message like:
The leader has left this Group. As such, the Group will be closed within 2 weeks' time. **/**/20** **:00).
- If the leader should return during this time period, their member ID will be remembered so all leader privileges will be returned to them. If the leader does not return during this allotted rejoin time period, the circle will be deleted at 11:00 PM following the period's expiration.
